Welcome to Day 7 of the 40 Day Kundalini Yoga Weight Loss Challenge with Mariya Gancheva! In this session, we will work on balancing the Prana (vital energy) and Apana (elimination) in our body. We get Prana from our breath, that is how we fill up with life. Apana is the eliminative force, that is how we get rid of what we do not need both physically and energetically. We need both good capacity to take in and good capacity to take out of our system what we do not need.

Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo – the “Adi Mantra”, I bow to the Creative Wisdom, I bow to the Divine Teacher within
Har – (not used in the practise but in the song) this bij (seed) mantra represents the Infinite in its creative form, it is used in a very powerful prosperity meditation. It is also a mantra that develops willpower.
Sat Nam – truth is my identity. This mantra reinforces the divine consciousness in everyone. It is used as a greeting as well as the mantra for Kundalini Yoga exercises, inhaling Sat (truth), exhaling Nam (name, identity).

My foot was so sore when it was resting on my leg for the first move. I had to put it on the floor. Will it get used to it being in this position? Should I try more?
