Instant Calm

A little goes a long way! When life feels loud, this Instant Calm yoga practice offers a gentle reset. Consider this short session your moment to take a sacred pause– to slow things down and re-center. Yoga philosophy teaches us that true calm is found not by controlling the outer world, but by turning inward– away from the sensory, mental, and emotional distractions– to rest in the quiet presence of our innermost self. This inner sanctuary is always available; yoga just shows us how to return to it.

Let me know how this goes for you in the comments below. Thank you for sharing your practice with me!

  2. Empower, July 12, 2026, month 7. I flip flopped this yoga session which is on day 11 with day 12's Yoga for Tension Relief session. Doing day 11 Instant Calm today instead. As it was a long, fun, busy, celebratory Saturday night out at Play and winning things, and getting to bed super late last night, waking eventually Sunday morning it was good to have a bit of meditation and calm. Still stretched to feel good, but it was nice having a short and sweet yoga practice today. ✨

Empower, July 31, 2026, month 7. There were only 30 days in this month's yoga playlist, and after a long, hot day on the feet, a short meditation was the best thing for the body. Plus my shoulder is still in agony, so this quick but effective flow is exactly what I needed to wind down the evening. ✨

  3. Empower. Day 12. July 12, 2026. Today I felt angry with myself for how I acted and thought in certain situations. And I'm really struggling to forgive myself. This practice hit at just the right time. Namaste Y’all 🧘🏻‍♂️✨

  4. Practicing with Adriene reminds me that all I needed was a little awareness. A little awareness was all it took today to remind me that it's enough to just be here. I don't need to try to force myself through things. My only "job" is to bring the loving awareness, and the rest unfolds as it does. And it felt sooo good to soften physiologically enough to feel the light, beautiful awareness from the soles of my feet, spine, and lungs again.

  5. YWA has become a life essential for me. It anchors me back in everything good, everything bad, everything in between. There are no words for this. Thank you so much, Adriene and to this community.
