Welcome to day 13 of the Kundalini Yoga Weight Loss Challenge with Mariya Gancheva! This Kriya will release tension and remove nervousness, it will also deeply relax you in both physical and mental realms. It works on the upper triangle of chakras and stimulates the thyroid and parathyroid glands responsible for your metabolism. The set is not difficult but is very effective as it stimulates the glands and utilizes pranyam, or conscious breathing.

What a journey and adventure to have with the body! I tend to be in my head a lot so these practices help me to be in my body more, where it has not felt very safe to be. I am sending lots of love and attention to the body. Which is love. This is my 3d time doing the series. I had a lot of resistance to start because I tend to get bored or anxious or angry and frustrated. Or I’m too focused on losing weight or changing the body which is a very pushy attitude and actually I’m trusting the body like it’s just an object. Not much love there. What helped me was watching teachings from an Octopus movie. It is about man who takes his body to the very cold ocean every day to meet with the creatures there and he had a beautiful connection with an octopus. The octopus opened up and invited him into her world. Very magical! I thought I would like to do that, but no ocean here and I don’t like the cold! So I thought, maybe I can have such a journey with yoga which is an ocean. The ocean of Bliss! The body is the friend. The body will invite me into another world. Every day I dive into this ocean and spend time with my dear friend, the body. Many lessons! Thank you so much Mariya! Bless you!
