Try this yoga for IT band practice to relieve iliotibial band syndrome, IT band pain, and hip pain. This sequence combines stretches and exercises to help iliopsoas bursitis and IT band syndrome.

If you’re a runner, a cyclist, or even a hiker, chances are you’re familiar with IT band pain (iliotibial band pain), or pain outside of the thigh. The IT band runs down the outside of the leg from the hip to the knee, and IT band syndrome can also contribute to knee pain or more generic hip pain. It’s often caused by “lazy glutes,” when other parts of the body overcompensate for what our glutes should be doing.

  4. I did a high intensity workout and my knee felt like it was going to fall off, I used doctor google and it suggested that the IT Band was tight from sudden use.   6. After years of IT band pain and trying dozens of different exercises intermittently, this 10 minute routine made me feel better instantly and it lasted for weeks!   12. I have been going to PT for hip pain for a few months now with no relief and got an injection that also didnt seem to help. When I do stretches like the butterfly stretch that is where I feel pain in my hip. I am so happy I found this video. I can do my butterfly stretch with no pain! I do karate and have been missing so much because of my pain. Thank you thank you thank you. I felt like I was giving up. This video saved me.
