You did it, you are here. You have listened to that inner wisdom that tugs at us when the heart, body and mind need tending to. Cortisol is the body’s primary stress hormone, and while it is useful in some ways (such as helping you to wake up in the morning), it can also stay elevated when stress becomes too much on the body. When cortisol is high, you might find yourself experiencing anxiety, racing thoughts, fatigue, burnout, or even trouble sleeping. Yoga reminds us that there are tools to cultivate balance in these moments that feel off kilter.

This practice is an opportunity to pause for a moment and regulate high cortisol through breath, gentle movement, and reconnecting with a sense of safety in the body. I am proud of you for showing up as you are and taking this time for yourself. Thank you for sharing your practice with me.

As a 25 year old male, here lately ive been dealing with sobmuch anxiety and that causes me not to want to breathe right and my mind circles around to negative things and just thoughts that aren't real and things that bring you fear. But with God and even videos like this, just like Adriene its a helping hand to help not to just cope but to bring yourself back to reality instead being in the fight or flight. Yes anxiety and panic can seem very scary but its not real its all in our minds. And The Lord didnt create us to live that way or live in it at all. But Jesus is our core strength, peace and cure. And yoga is such a helpful thing. It gets your mind off so much!! Thank you Adriene!! And my girlfriend notices the anxiety I go through but yoga is so helpful.

  4. I felt in sync with the practise more than I've ever felt before. As if Adriene read my mind each second. When she talked about moving through transitions mindfully, it was a thought to keep both inside and outside of practice. I haven't been mindful with the transitions in my life lately, and I am working to make it right and better. Thank you Adriene. I am forever grateful 🙏

  5. I REALLY needed this today, Adriene is always there for me to lift me up when I feel like I can't do it myself. I got fired suddenly for the first time ever yesterday, it was a shock but I've been looking for a way out for a long time now so this feels like a good sign for me to find something better but it was still plenty stressful and I could feel it clenching around me and making my body tense and I feel loads better now ❤️ I love all you yogis who have/are doing this with me

    In the beginning of my journey with you I was severely underweight and stuck in an incredibly unsafe living condition.
    When I left that place I continued my journey with you, I cried with you, I laughed with you, I’ve watched some videos so many times I can quote your silly little jokes word for word 😂❤
    Now I am weight restored, your guidance helped me find the confidence to begin strength training and to participate in local Yoga studios!

  8. Hello, thank you for a great practice. I have a question regarding breathing. Do you breathe out ,through your mouth during the entire practice? IF not when should you nose breathe? I always wonder about this.

  9. ❤ thank you Adriene and Benji ! Many beautiful moments in this video but two that stick out were : when I was getting ready for legs up the wall,I was about to press pause to put my mat close to the wall ,and A said :"Guys! Don't stop the video !"
    Second was when she did the trade of blankets with Benji !!! What a beautiful dog ! How they love each other !❤
